Avi-on does the hard stuff before your order ships
Specify Pre-Commissioning with an Avi-on order, and Avi-on devices can be set up before shipment to your site.
Devices are added to a secured account and generic device “claiming and naming” is completed to build the framework for your system before shipment. This can happen with an authorized fixture manufacturer or in the Avi-on warehouse before shipment.
Pre-commissioning allows devices to be quickly installed and tagged by the electrician using the Avi-on Installer Tool. With the Avi-on Remote Access Bridge you can configure and close-out more projects faster with fewer man-hours.
Bringing technology to lighting controls
Avoid expensive travel costs, by selecting Remote Commissioning with an Avi-on order. Nodes can be commissioned remotely using Avi-on commissioning suite of tools on the cloud.
There are three requirements for a successful setup:
- Plan zones and fixture, and sensor locations in advance
- Installing the Avi-on Remote Access Bridge at the beginning of the project installation
- Have electricians/installers install and record the fixtures and accessories in mapped locations using the Avi-on Installer Tool.
With these three simple steps, your “touchless” installation will be flawless.

Energy Monitoring - fine-tune, optimize for rebates and energy code requirements
Once installed, Avi-on technicians can assist with optimizing a network for energy monitoring and savings. By analyzing energy monitoring data, Avi-on experts can assist in identifying which lighting control strategies work best for you.
Avi-on’s energy monitoring service provides complete data collection every 15 minutes on every compatible device, as well as a complete record of device dimming status and motion sensor triggers. The data is available in real time through the Avi-on energy management portal. The data can be viewed in the portal, or exported in a variety of formats including .CSV, XLS and PDF and supports local customizable reporting suites.
