OpenADR Interface
Details
How it works
The OpenADR interface can be linked to the specific utility program dispatch centers desired for the project site. The program responses are configured in the interface configuration tool and then stored in the device firmware. It is possible to configure multiple program triggers, for example, extreme, moderate, or others. The interface sends triggers to the Avi-on network to implement load reduction scenarios. The specific load reduction is configured in an Avi-on SIM, which is triggered by a contact closure signal from the OpenADR interface. It is possible to create multiple program responses and target different response levels to different areas of the building. All configuration and management can be done remotely. The unit can be plugged into the Ethernet port of the Avi-on RAB LTE bridge for a demand response (DR) solution that is fully wireless and requires no local network connection (ongoing use of the cellular connection requires a small annual connection subscription).
